Tour W-3: Jewish Tour in Berlin

NOTE:  This tour is totally a private vehicle tour of the Jewish sites of heritage and history of Berlin, operated exclusively for you,  for your family, or for your private party or group.

Starting time: 30 minutes after the official scheduled arrival time of your cruise ship.
Transportation: By a private car, van, or motor coach depending on the number of seats required by your private party.

Major sites and inside admissions included:  There shall be photo stops at all the major Berlin sites, and since this is your own private tour, you may request even more as you wish to have them. Inside visits with an admission are scheduled to the Holocaust Memorial, New Synagogue, Jewish Museum, lunch in the Lieberman Restaurant.

Berlin shall always remain as the most telling, vivid, and eventful location for the Jewish life and history in Europe. This fact and experience are represented by remarkable sites and locations, real witnesses of the local Jewish history, which shall always remain in the city. This tour offers you a fair-minded view of former historical events and incidents, as well as understanding of today’s current Jewish life.

After a relaxed 2-hours-ride from the Warnemunde port, we’ll start with a general familiarization tour of Berlin, which  includes world known major  highlights like the renown Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden Boulevard, German Parliament, the  Reichstag, with its imposing cupola designed by the famous architect Sir. Norman Foster.

After that we’ll continue our tour with historic Jewish sights including the Holocaust Memorial, the former site of the Old Synagogue, as well as the New Synagogue dedicated in 1866, and regarded as the greatest and most glorious Jewish cultic building of the former times.

Our next highlight will be the Jewish Museum. We shall enjoy a light luncheon in the Lieberman Restaurant, located inside the Museum. The Museum opened in 2001, and it is claimed to be one of the most spectacular museum buildings in Germany designed by Daniel Libeskind. As recently as in September 2007 the new inner courtyard, with its inspiring glass construction, was added and dedicated as a new addition to the museum. There was a great grand opening.  It was built from a design entitled  "Sukkah". At that time great international Grand Opening Ceremonies took place, and it attracted lots of attention in the entire world.  

After our full and most active special program of the day you may just sit back and relax afterwards while returning to Warnemunde port and to your ship.
