Note: “Berlin Original” tour is totally a private vehicle tour of Berlin operated exclusively for you,  for your family, or your private party or group.

Starting time: This is a full day tour, and it is our strong recommendation that you’d start your tour not later than 30 minutes after the official scheduled arrival time of your ship.   
Transportation: By a private car, van, or motor coach depending on the number of seats required by your private party.
Activity level: Very active. This tour is not recommended for any person having walking problems or restricted mobility. However, since the group is formulated of you’re the members of your own private group members, it is totally up to decide whom you wish to qualify and include in the party.  In case your group will become a slow moving one, then it is not guaranteed that all the sites listed in the itinerary can be covered.
Major sites and inside admissions included:  This is a most comprehensive Berlin city tour as it can be operated within the time limit allowed. Do to the rich and length program, time is of an essence, and all participants are advised to stay close to their guide. Major sites are listed in the below Itinerary. Inside visits shall be to a Spree River Cruise, and to the Opernpalais Café. Since this is your own private tour you may also request changes and modifications to your itinerary during the touring. However, in case you are requesting visits which may require an admission tickets, which are not part of our original itinerary, then you are expected to settle those additional expense on the spot. Note: The order of sites may wary depending on the traffic in the city on they of your visit.

Welcome to our most favored private tour originating at the Warnemunde port. The tour explores the German Capital, Berlin, with its cultural highlights, as well as the remarkable experiences of the recent changes in the German history, tied to the international  history of the entire world, and especially the years of the Cold War. .
We are ready to start your tour as soon as only your ship has been cleared, by the local Port of Authority. Your private DenRus driver is waiting for you at the pier.
After you have checked in, and your tour has started, you’ll  have about 2 and a half hours to relax and to sit back while we ride through the Northern German countryside to Berlin. Any number of restroom stops shall be made, as your party might require, just tell your driver. Upon arrival in Berlin your private DenRus guide will join your group to guide you through and around this living metropolis.
Our first site of interest shall be the Berlin Olympic Stadium, where Jesse Owens totally upset Adolf Hitler with his performance in the 1936 Olympic Games. Continuing on we shall board a 1,5-hour river boat cruise along the Spree River, showing you the Central Berlin from a unique and different view point from the river. Some of the highlights of the cruise will be Germany’s Parliament Building, Reichstag (1984), with its huge cupola, designed by Sir Norman Foster, the Berlin Cathedral, and the Museum Island. The Museum Island is a small, world famous island on the Spree River sheltering treasures of the past in the renowned Pergamon Museum , the Old Natonal Gallery, and the Bode Museum, as well as the New and the Old Museums
During our Spree River cruise deluxe Luncheon Boxes will be served.
We shall finish our river cruise at the Nikolai Quarter, which is the city’s oldest living quarter, located around the St. Nicolas Church. Dating back to the 14th century this part of Berlin will definitely inspire you during our short walk through this cradle of Berlin, as it was the central spot of living, experimentation and development for social sciences, writers, philosophers and architects, such as Humboldt, Lessing, Schinkel and others.
We shall now again board our buses for a real sightseeing part our tour. We shall see the world famous and symbolic Brandenburg Gate, built in 1791. Today it is the real symbol of Berlin and Germany telling the entire history of Germany, both divided and united.   Such famous visitors to the gate, as President John Kennedy, and Ronald Regan have added to the reputation of the site. We shall then head for the Checkpoint Charlie, which was the most famous border crossing point between the East and the West during the Cold War. Many Hollywood movies have been made about this small and humble site, which you shall soon see and experience, and which shall clarify to you the circumstances as they prevailed not that long ago.
Our tour shall continue to the East Side Gallery, the largest open-air art gallery in the world, depicting the longest still existing piece of the original Berlin War. This is one of the most interesting and colorful photo stops.
Our your shall continue to the “most beautiful square in the entire world” Gendarmenmarket. The square is the site for the Konzerthaus and the French Cathedral and the German Cathedral. The centre of the Gendarmenmarkt is crowned by a statue of Germany's poet Friedrich Schiller. The square was created by Johann Arnold Nering at the end of the 1600’s as the Linden-Markt.
The tour continues to the Charlottenburg Palace, the former residence of the last German royal family, the Hohenzollerns. During our touring we shall see and witness a myriad of other famous sites, too many to mention. If you wish to stop at any of them, all it requires is to request. Do not forget that this is tour own private vehicle tour, and no other group member an tell you to speed up or slow down.
Before our tour ends, DenRus shall invite you all for a cup of coffee, or tea, and a piece of cake at the old and traditional Opernpalais Café, directly located on the Untern den Linden Boulevard.
After our short break we shall start our return ride back to the Warnemunde Port and to our ship full of unforgettable impressions of Germany’s capital. Your visit will be a historical visit to see the most interesting of all the European  countries, and personally experience the greatness of this former Kingdom, see the history, relive those 45 years of Communism and the membership in the Soviet Union block, and finally the unification of the two halves again into one country.
